Based on the research of the needs of Istrian entrepreneurs, as well as the analysis of loan applications in the current line of credit implementation, the need for entrepreneurial infrastructure has been identified. Coordination of the development of entrepreneurial zones in Istria County is therefore one of the key activities of the Istrian Development Agency. In accordance with these needs, guidelines for the development of entrepreneurial zones and industrial parks in the Istria County were established and a long-term program for encouraging the development of entrepreneurial zones in the Istrian County was established.
Based on existing zoning documentation, infrastructure equipment and available workforce in the environment, 34 strategic zones have been identified with priority status. In this way, the strategic zone identified above is occupied by more than 1,300 ha.
